State funding provides temporary relief to agency

March 24, 2010

On Monday, ABC7 reported that Family Home Service which helps seniors may have to shut down due to the state's budget problems. If forced to close, 240 workers would have lost their jobs and 550 seniors would be left with no help.

The executive director says the state came through with funding to cover the next two pay periods.

The crisis is averted for now but the money crunch could happen again next month.
