Suspect in kidnappings, sex assault surrenders to police

March 29. 2010 (CHICAGO)

Terrin Lee was arrested immediately as he arrived at a Chicago police station Monday afternoon.

Lee is accused of attacking a teenage girl on March 18 and forcing a teenage boy into his car the next day at gunpoint. The boy managed to escape.

Lee had been in contact with a local activist since last Monday and sought his advice on what to do because he insists he is innocent.

"He was not on the run to my knowledge because he was constantly in contact with me, and I was in constant contact with Sgt. Kimball informing him of the information that this gentleman wanted to turn himself in," said Andrew Holmes, activist.

Lee has not been charged.

Anyone with information on either incident is urged to call the Chicago police.
