Madigan is asking the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association to launch a campaign informing parents of the potential dangers. She also wants the association to provide an incentive to families with drop-side cribs so they can purchase a different crib.
Finally, Madigan wants the association to remove its seal from drop-side cribs that remain on the market. Madigan says it falsely assures consumers that the products are safe.
Drop-side cribs have been linked to 21 deaths.
