¶ John Northen claims Weis should have personally responded when a man was shot last week. Weis was a short distance away from the shooting holding a news conference in the Englewood neighborhood.
Weis left the area when informed of the nearby shooting.
More than 20 years ago, Northen led a group of police sergeants who filed a federal lawsuit claiming they were unfairly denied promotions.
Chicago Police call the complaint absurd.
