The person was transported to Christ Hospital in fair to serious condition, according to a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson.
Outbound Train #405 struck a car near the 95th and Longwood Metra Station.
The fire department is on the scene of a crash involving a train and car near 95th and Vincennes.
The #405 was not supposed to stop at that station.
Rock Island Line trains are delayed due to the incident:
Train #405, scheduled to arrive Joliet at 4:04 pm is now on the move and is operating 36 minutes late due to an earlier grade crossing accident at 95th.
Train #418 scheduled to depart Joliet at 4:24pm and to arrive Chicago at 5:29pm may be delayed in its departure due to a grade crossing incident at 95th Street. We will provide timely travel information as it is available.
