The boy was hospitalized Sunday evening in critical condition, while the man suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
No one else was injured. The cause of the fire had not been determined Sunday evening.
2 rescued from burning Berwyn apartment
April 11, 2010 (CHICAGO) Fire crews were called to the four-story building in west suburban Berwyn just after midnight. Fire fighters used the back stairs to get to a burning fourth-floor apartment unit and found a man and a 3-year-old boy unconscious in a bedroom area.
