ABC7 reported Monday night that Riverdale's mayor was moving the photo of detective William "Wally" Rolniak to what he said was a more visible location. It was relocated from the lobby to an area behind the police glass above a Xerox machine.
Rolniak's widow said she thought moving the portrait was disrespectful. On Tuesday, the police union said Rolniak's picture is back in its original location in the lobby.
