Peter Bartosek is battling a condition that causes tumors of the nervous system.
Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Southwest Airlines, and the Chicago Department of Aviation, Thursday was all about Bartosek's love of airplanes.
Bartosek got a pilot's cap and wings, which he needed as he sat in the cockpit and took a tour of a plane.
He also boarded a helicopter for a flight over downtown Chicago.
Bartosek had lunch with the fire department unit that serves Midway, and he went home with a laptop computer complete with flight simulation software.
