Video game sales are improving and some feel that's a good sign for the economy.

New game titles helped push sales up by 6 percent in March. That's the industry's third-best non-holiday sales month on record.

Video game sales were down 13 percent in January and dropped 14 percent in February as compared with the same period last year.

Nintendo's Wii gaming system console continues to lead industry sales.

But overall sales for the Wii are down more than 7 percent over a year ago.
