Memorial service for civil rights leader Wyatt

A memorial service was held Sunday night for civil rights pioneer Rev. Dr. Claude Wyatt at the church were he served as founding pastor.Wyatt was remembered for his contributions to the civil rights movement and his work in starting the Vernon Park Church of God on Chicago's South Side. He helped organize Operation Breadbasket, which later came to be the RainbowPUSH Coalition.

Wyatt died Monday at 88 years old.

His body was expected to lie in state Monday with a funeral scheduled for Monday night.
