Queen of Jordan reads to Naperville students

The queen of Jordan visited Chicago and the southwest suburbs Friday.Her Majesty Queen Rania al Abullah met children at Highlands Elementary School in Naperville and read from her new children's book, The Sandwich Swap.

On the Oprah Winfrey show Friday, the queen explained the story is based on her own experience at an international school where a classmate introduced her to peanut butter.

"One day, she offered me to take a bite. I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I was 5 years old," said Queen Rania al Abullah. "On a subconscious level, I think I understood that I shouldn't fear the unknown."

Viewers who missed the Queen of Jordan on the Oprah Winfrey Show, the entire interview will be rebroadcast Friday night at 11:05 p.m. on ABC7.
