The Cubs and the White Sox will now be fighting for more than just bragging rights in the Crosstown Classic.

Starting this season the teams will play for the Crosstown cup trophy during their annual six-game interleague series.

The two teams have played three games at U.S. Cellular Field and three games at Wrigley Field since 1997.

The team with the most wins in the series will get to take home the trophy.

The Cubs and White Sox meet for the first time this season on June 11 for a weekend three-game series at Wrigley Field.
