Clark Street to get streetscape in Ravenswood

April 27, 2010 (CHICAGO) A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday morning to celebrate the new Clark Street streetscape.

Ald. Gene Schulter, Ald. Helen Schiller, representatives from the Ravenswood Business Community and the Dept. of Transportation attended the event.

The $7.4 million project will beautify Clark Street between Montrose and Ainslie.

Improvements include decorative lighting, planters, and community identifiers highlighting the Clark Street shopping district.
