CeaseFire says it's asking young men and women to lay down their guns. Organizers say they're trying to connect their street-level staff with those most at risk of being involved in violence.
"The CeaseFire model is about young men and young women going out into the community and building relationships with the hard to reach individuals, individuals that have decided to carry a gun and shoot another individual that looks just like them," said Rev. Autry Phillips.
Twelve marches are all scheduled to begin at 6 Friday night.
