1 year since Drew Peterson was arrested

May 7, 2010 2:46:21 PM PDT
Former Bolingbrook police sergeant Drew Peterson claims his finances are in good shape one year after he was arrested on murder charges.

Peterson is accused of killing his third wife Kathleen Savio. He's also a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacey.

After Peterson's arrest, J.P. Morgan Chase froze a line of credit he had on his home. But according to the Chicago Tribune, Peterson's lawyer said he has no debt and has paid his legal fees.

Still, Peterson needs $45,000 to hire expert witnesses for his murder trial, which is scheduled to begin in June.
