Blago asks courts to postpone trial

May 8, 2010 (CHICAGO)

They've asked a federal appeals court to postpone the trial until the U.S. Supreme Court rules on a new legal challenge. The federal law bars officials from denying taxpayers their honest services. The high court is expected to rule on that issue by the end of June.

Blagojevich's trial is set to start June 3rd.

He has pleaded not guilty to charges of scheming to sell President Barack Obama's former senate seat and trading favors for campaign contributions
