CTA bus strikes building on West Side

No one was seriously injured when a bus struck a car and then slammed into a school on the city's West Side.The bus struck the Math and Science Academy at 3645 West Chicago. No one inside the building was hurt and it appears the building was not seriously damaged.

Ten ambulances were sent to the scene. While people were seen being loaded onto stretchers, none of the injuries is serious, officials said. In all 12 people were treated.

Fire officials used the emergency exits to get people off the bus. The accident blocked Chicago Avenue for a time.
