Emergency crews were sent to the scene of a fire at a high-rise on East Wacker in Chicago's Loop.

Because of a report of smoke, several crews were sent as protocol. However, no injuries were reported, and there was no evacuation, officials said.

Reports indicate that there was a small fire in a computer room on the 14th floor of 1 East Wacker.

Emergency crews arrived at the building just before 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, and the intersection was clear by 3:15 p.m.

The fire was put out quickly, but smoke spread through part of the building.

At the height of the response, emergency vehicles filled State Street between Lake and Wacker, and Wacker between Dearborn and Wabash.

Any fire in a high rise automatically triggers an EMS Plan One that sends five ambulances to the scene.
