Former Daley patronage chief out of jail

May 18, 2010 (CHICAGO)

In 2006, Sorich and three others were convicted on federal corruption charges for rigging the city's hiring system to favor people with political clout.

Sorich was sentenced to almost four years in prison.

After a series of appeals he reported to prison in April of 2008. He's now headed for a halfway house, but authorities would not disclose its location. There are reports it could be located here in Chicago.
