ABC7 Chicago broadcasts Memorial Day Parade in HD

ABC7 Chicago salutes the nation's veterans with the HD broadcast of Chicago's Memorial Day Parade, the largest annual Memorial Day Parade in the country, Sunday, May 30th, 11:35 p.m. - 12:35 a.m. The Memorial Day Parade, hosted by ABC 7's Ravi Baichwal and Leah Hope, will kick off from State and Lake and proceed down State to Van Buren.

ABC 7 Chicago's Stacey Baca, Ben Bradley, Sarah Schulte and Theresa Gutierrez will be part of the festivities as they ride atop the station float. The parade will take place on Saturday, May 29th and begins at noon.

The Memorial Day Parade will pay tribute to the fallen heroes who have made the greatest sacrifice in defense of our country and freedom. The parade commemorates the anniversaries of the Vietnam War, World War II, and World War I as well as other conflicts fought by Americans. In addition, the Illinois Gold Star Families will be honored for their commitment to supporting grieving military families. Victims of terrorism will also be remembered.
