Officer Thomas Wortham IV was fatally shot during an apparent robbery attempt. Two people have been charged in the case.
Wortham had been with the Chicago Police Department since 2007. He had also served two tours of duty in Iraq.
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 27th from 3 to 8 p.m. at Leak and Sons Funeral Home at 7838 South Cottage Grove.
Officer Wortham's funeral will take place Friday May 28th at noon at Trinity United Church of Christ, 421 West 95th Street.
