The board also called on the Illinois Attorney General's Office to investigate the two for allegations that they abused their authority in hiring and firing and treatment of village and police employees.
Earlier this year, three police officers filed racial discrimination complaints against the two.
The fired employees did not comment on the board's decisions following the meeting.
