Areva Martin, esq., a regular on the Dr. Phil show, is a nationally recognized autism expert and the parent of an autistic child. A graduate of University of Chicago and Harvard Law School, she is president and co-founder of special needs network in South Central L.A. , a non-profit that brings attention to the epidemic of autism, especially in the African-American community-- and offers resources and to navigate through the bureaucratic red tape to obtain services.
