Men are more affected by rocky relationships than women might think. Research shows women have a tougher time coping with breakups, but men are the ones who feel more stress and strain when a relationship is going south.

Wake Forest University researchers studied mental health and relationship information from more than one-thousand college-aged subjects.

They were found to be more emotionally affected by the quality of their current relationship, unlike most women, who were shown to be more affected by whether they were in a relationship or not.
