Streamwood fires cop accused of beating

The Village of Streamwood has fired a police officer accused of beating a motorist during a traffic stop.

James Mandarino was charged with aggravated battery and official misconduct after investigators viewed his squad car camera's recording of the March 28th incident.

Prosecutors say it shows him striking Ronald Bell, 28, with his baton 15 times.

The tape shows no sign of the driver or his passenger resisting the officer.
