Study: Men, women have same navigational skills

Why do some men hate to ask for directions? Is it because they don't like to admit their sense of direction may be flawed? Those same men might find it hard to believe, but a new study shows there is no difference between men and women when it comes to navigational skills.

A sense of direction appears hard-wired in the brain at birth.

Authors of the Norwegian study say miniature sensors implanted in lab rats showed the brain cells that control sense of direction were evident from birth.

Still, it's probably a good idea to hang on to the atlas or GPS just in case you get lost.
