Gov. Doyle to tour tornado-damaged Waukesha County

June 23, 2010 (EAGLE, Wis.)

The National Weather Service says five tornados touched down in all in Wisconsin Monday night.

Meteorologist Ashley Sears says two were in Waukesha County -- in Eagle and near Muskego, one in Cross Plains in Dane County, one in central Lafayette County and one near Busseyville in Jefferson County.

Sheriff's officials say 25 homes were destroyed and at least 100 homes damaged when the twister moved through the village of Eagle. Only one person was hurt.

He has declared a state of emergency in Waukesha County. Doyle's expected to meet with residents and discuss recovery efforts with local and state officials.
