The Chicago native was at Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, where he hosts a basketball camp for kids -- including his oldest son.
The divorce proceedings involving Wade and his estranged wife, Siohvaughn Wade, has been going on since 2007. Wade says his children have been the priority all along.
"I'm just looking at the bigger picture, not really looking at the things I was going through at the time. I focus on the end of the day, what makes this all worth while and that's my two boys," said Wade.
A trial to decide which of them should get custody and other visitation matters is scheduled to begin in about a month.
