Stuart Brent was the owner of Stuart Brent Books on North Michigan Avenue.
Funeral services will be held Monday for long-time bookseller. The service will be at Anshe Emet Synagogue in Chicago at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Rosemont Park cemetery.
The book store closed in 1996 after nearly 50 years. Brent had said object of the store was to keep literature alive in Chicago. In addition to his business, Brent was also an author and the host of a TV show about books.
He died Wednesday in Wisconsin. He was 98 years old.
