Feature films to be available on Netflix sooner

July 6, 2010 (CHICAGO) Netflix struck a deal with Relativity Media, which traditionally licenses movies to cable channels like HBO and Showtime.

Feature films will now stream exclusively to the Netflix "Watch Instantly" service instead of debuting them on cable. Films will be available to Netflix customers just months after their DVD release.

Netflix sends movies through the mail or streams them over the Internet to 13 million subscribers.
