Monopoly marks 75th by giving out real money

July 15, 2010 Starting Thursday and running through September 3, fans are being asked to imagine what they'd do if the play money was real.

Go to monopoly.com, and describe in 75 words or less how you'd spend the money in the game's bank. It adds up to $20,580.

A survey by the game's maker Hasbro found 60 percent of Monopoly players admit imagining their winnings are real, while 70 percent would use it to pay off debt, and 54 percent would buy something for the family.

The winner will be announced September 27th.
