Chicago police arrested and charged two West Side residents for selling narcotics.

On Wednesday, a concerned citizen informed police that heroin was being cut and bagged at a building near Leclaire and Washington. The citizen told police that the heroin would be moved out of the building in a plastic bag.

Officers set up a surveillance point in the 5000-block of Washington and saw Ricky Williams, 29, of the 3600-block of W. Polk, leave the back of the building holding a plastic bag. He was stopped by officers and found to have narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Officers also stopped Debbie Williams, 52, of the 5000-block of W. Washington, who had 200 grams of heroin with her.

Both were placed into custody and charged. Officers recovered more than $10,000 in U.S. currency.

Debbie and Ricky Williams are scheduled to appear in bond court on 22 July, 2010.
