Members of United Here Local 1 and its supporters rallied in front of the Hyatt hotel on Michigan and Wacker. They say the hotel wants to lock workers into what they call unfair contracts.
The rallies are happening in more than a dozen cities across the US.
The Hyatt says it has been participating in union negotiations in good faith and wages for its employees are considerably above minimum wage.
