Julien Ried was trying to get home to Ottawa, Canada on a United Airlines flight after arriving from San Francisco on Saturday. His mother says he was left watching TV in a room for unaccompanied minors but no United worker came to help him to his departure gate.
A United Airlines spokesperson tells an Ottawa newspaper they put Julian on the next available flight and waived all child-care fees. They also provided his family with what they are calling "a goodwill gesture."
