Report: Lack of social life unhealthy

More startling, a new report calculates that a lack of social relationships was equivalent to smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day.

A team at Brigham Young University came up with this conclusion after analyzing 150 studies looking at survival odds and social networks. They think caring about others makes us take better care of ourselves.

But, these researchers worry that in today's modern world social networks are deteriorating as we struggle to juggle careers and families and find a happy work-life balance.
