Firefighters battle 2 North Side fires

A fire in an apartment building near Wrigley Field Saturday morning was caused by a lightning strike.The fire department says the bolt blew the chimney off the building at 1148 West Waveland. A fire then started on the third floor.

One person was treated at the scene and released. No one else was injured.

Firefighters also rescued three people from another fire on the city's North Side Saturday at 1346 West Wilson.

That fire was concentrated in a second-floor apartment.

The person that lived in the apartment was rescued and taken to a hospital in serious condition. A woman suffered minor injuries.

There was no word Saturday evening on the cause of that fire.
