Man charged in shooting of 4 women

August 4, 2010 (CHICAGO) Derrick Wilson, of the 1000-block of West 14th St., faces two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm after the incident Sunday. Police say Wilson pointed a handgun at a group of women in the 600-block of North St. Louis and fired several rounds.

The incident took place around 1:15 a.m. outside a party in Garfield Park.

Police say multiple gunmen in a black Cadillac opened fire after a fight broke out.

A 23-year-old was shot in the thigh and back and a 20-year-old was shot in the thighs, stomach and hip, Bay said. They were both taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where they were listed in guarded condition.

Two other 20-year-old women were shot -- one with a graze wound to the left thigh and one in the back of the neck, police said. They were treated and released at Norwegian-American Hospital.
