The district is reporting one of the largest outbreaks of biting mosquitoes in as many as 20 years.
The district checks 11 traps in the area and within a week's time reported an 800 percent increase in mosquitoes.
The current batch is not the breed that carries West Nile virus, although those could be on the way soon.
West Nile-carriers thrive in stagnant water that collects in gutters and ditches.
