University of Notre Dame officials hope a new cultural passport program will spur students to explore South Bend parks, museums and other attractions.Under the program, students will get a "cultural passport" with information on 14 attractions such as the South Bend Museum of Art and the East Race Waterway. When they visit a site, their passport will be stamped. Students who visit all 14 places will get a certificate signed by the mayor and the dean of their college.

College of Science Dean Gregory Crawford says students who explore culture in South Bend will expand their intellectual perspective.
