Two northwest Indiana schools were on lockdown Thursday after a man broke in and vandalized the buildings.

A surveillance photo showed the suspect.

According to the school superintendent, the man broke into Highland Middle School early Thursday morning. He then broke the glass on one of the trophy cases.

The middle school connects to the high school. They have about 60 cameras that caught the man's actions.

Both schools were on lockdown Thursday in case the man returned, but he was not seen again.
