Car lands on Lake Shore Drive, traffic blocked

The accident happened shortly after 9 p.m. when a driver lost control. The car rolled over and down the ramp from the northbound Stevenson Expressway onto the northbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive.

Seven people were inside the car. Illinois State Police say five of them were taken to hospitals in serious to critical condition.

Two others refused treatment.
