Later this month consumers can get a 15 percent instant rebate on Energy Star qualified refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers and dishwashers. Customers must certify they are purchasing a replacement appliance.

Based on the popularity of the first round of the program, the $3 million now available for rebates should run out that same day.
