3 arrested in Lincoln Park car break-in

September 10, 2010 (CHICAGO) Weam Salem, 24, of the 9700-block of S. Harlem, Chicago Ridge, and Bilal Matareah, 21, of the 8100-block of S. Kildare, Chicago, were both charged with one count of burglary and one count of possession of burglary tools after the incident in the 2500-block of N. Cannon Drive.

Kareem Ramadan, 22, of the 6900-block of W. 111th, Worth, was charged with one count of burglary and one count of misdemeanor theft.

Officers on patrol in the area after a series of car break-ins say they heard a car alarm go off and caught a man breaking into the back of a Jeep.

Police say they found the second burglar in a Yukon containing several bicycles parked several cars away from the Jeep. They say the third suspect was found trying to hide on the floor of the Jeep.
