September 12, 2010 (CHICAGO) --A Chicago firefighter was injured Sunday afternoon when a porch began to collapse during attempts to douse a fire. It happened shortly after 12 p.m. in an abandoned building near 63rd Street and Ada in the West Englewood neighborhood.
The fire was on the first and second floors.
The injured firefighter's injuries are described as non-life-threatening. The cause of the fire is under investigation. It was extinguished by 12:15 p.m.
