September 27, 2010 (CHICAGO) --Chicago has been named one of the country's best cities for walking.More than 18 miles of lakefront path is one reason why the city was highly ranked. San Francisco came in first place, followed by Boston, New York and Philadelphia.
Chicago was fifth on the list.
San Francisco earned top honors because the city government devotes 12 agencies to walking issues.
The survey was conducted by the American Podiatric Medical Association.
