Study: Children with food allergies get bullied

A new study shows that children who have food allergies are often the target of bullying.

Researchers say about one in 4 children and teens with food allergies are teased, harassed and bullied because of their condition.

The emotional impact is significant. The study shows that 67 percent of those targeted report being sad, depressed or embarrassed.

The study is in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
