Body of boy found in 2005 still not ID'd

October 8, 2010 (DUPAGE COUNTY, Ill.)

The remains were found on October 8, 2005 in a wooded area near Warrenville. They had been placed inside a blue laundry bag.

Artists worked to develop a sketch of the boy. It still hangs at the DuPage County coroner's office so investigators won't forget. The boy is believed to be 3 to 4 years old.

The deputy coroner shared what drives him to solve this case.

"The soul that that little boy had. And to find out who he was, what he was all about, who in their right mind would try and terminate that soul from a 4-year old boy when he had everything going for him," said Charles Dastych, DuPage County chief deputy coroner.

In 2007, the little boy was buried in suburban Wheaton. His gravestone reads "son unknown but not forgotten."
