Marines given heroes' welcome in Naperville

Four marines who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan were welcomed home as heroes in Naperville Saturday night.

Naperville squad cars, a fire truck, and motorcyclists from Operation Welcome You Home escorted the marines.

A big crowd of relatives and friends greeted them at a Veterans of Foreign Wars post in the western suburb.

They were applauded, thanked for serving their country, and given a variety of gifts, including flags, coins, and plaques.

"It's been nice. I mean, the people have been friendly. Obviously we've got - whatever this is - a motorcade coming out, and welcoming us all home. So it's nice," said Marine Cpl. Dylan Morgan. "A little overwhelming, but it's really nice."

The welcome home included prayers for servicemen and women who died and for the safety of those still serving.
