Grace period for eligible Cook Co. voters

October 22, 2010 (CHICAGO) A grace period in registration allows eligible Cook County residents a chance to register even though the October 5th regular voter registration deadline has passed.

The grace period is open to U.S. citizens who are at least 18 years old by Election Day and who live in their precinct at least 30 days before election day.

Grace period voter registration continues through October 26th at the clerk's downtown office, 69 West Washington.
