The Chicago Police Department is investigating armed robberies that have occurred in Area 3, which covers Chicago's North and Northwest sides. The robberies have taken place at small businesses during the late evening and into the early morning hours, police say. The offenders, after entering each business, approach the on-duty employee, display a dark-colored handgun, demanding money from the register. After obtaining money, the two robbers flee on foot.

One robber is described as a black man, 5'10"? 6'1", 185-220 lbs., with brown eyes, black hair and medium brown complexion. The second man is described as a black man, 5'6"-5'9", 140-160 lbs., with brown eyes, short black hair and a light brown complexion.

The Chicago Police Department is requesting that anyone who can identify the two offenders or who has additional information on the robberies contact Area 3's Robbery/Burglary/Theft Crimes Unit at (312) 744-8263.
